2010年の今日（1月2日）、1位を獲得した Ke$ha（ケシャ）の “Tik Tok” を解説・和訳しました。
パリピだったケシャの実体験をもとにできた曲で、8ビットのサウンドチップを使ったビットポップとハンドクラップを織り交ぜたサウンドが特徴的なダンスポップ。
ケシャがドクター・ルークとベニー・ブランコと共に書いたこの曲は、ある日パーティから泥酔して（何人住んでいるのかも把握していなかったというシェアハウスに）帰って目が覚めたら好奇心の目で自分を見ている美女たちに囲まれていて、まるで（いつも美女に囲まれている）P.ディディのような気分になったという実体験がもとになっているそうで、この年の年間1位を獲得する大ヒットとなっています。
当時グレート・リセッション（2000年代後半から2010年代初頭の大規模な経済的衰退の時期）だったアメリカの状況とは対照的に、ニートでパリピのケシャが能天気に楽しんでいるという感じの曲に仕上がっていることもヒットの要因だったのかもしれません。
ちなみに、冒頭の “Hey, what up, girl?” と “Let’s go” というセリフはP.ディディ（パフ・ダディ）のものです。
